The Guest of Honour Colonel Jozsef Gulyas the Defence Attache of the Hungarian Embassy and his wife took their places and the Leaders of the Order with the Clergy followed the Shield of the Order to the singing of Sullivan's "Onward Christian Soldiers" accompanied by the organ.
Rev Fr Dr Crispin Pailing the Rector of Liverpool welcomed the therein present and Fr Janos Csicso chief-priest in London continued with prayers and blessings. This was followed by Liszt's "Pater Noster" presented by the renowned St. Nicholas Singers.
The celebratory speech was delivered Dr vitez George Rakoczy describing the significance of the date and the current state of the 15 million Hungarians at home and abroad. This was followed by a version in English presented by vitez Andrew Zsigmond jr de Lemheny, both receiving significant applause.
Dr vitez Andrew Zsigmond de Lemheny Deputy Grand Captain presented a concise history of the Order for our English friends, emphasizing our excellent current situation under the leadership of count vitez Janos Molnar-Gazso Grand Captain.
Following this Attila Babenyecz, Miklos Bartha, Dr Zsolt Bodnar, Csaba Horvath de Csapod, Eva Szakaly, Prof marques Frederick Trowman-Rose and Ilana Zsigmond de Lemheny were invested into our Order, who took their solemn Oath. On their behalf Dr vitez Zsolt Bodnar thanked the Order, promising future work for it. This was followed by appointments and awards which contained the appointment and award of vitez Szabolcs Losy de Visi as High Captain in the United Kingdom.
This was followed by the Investiture into the Ordo Draconum 1408 by myself as Grand Prior, with the assistance of vitez Balazs Horvath de Csapod.
The Investiture was followed by the singing of National Anthems of England and Hungary and concluded with the recession to the organ rendering of Widor's "Toccata".
The celebratory luncheon took place in the Ziba restaurant, containing a tapestry of Laszlo HUNYADI, where we toasted The Queen and President Janos Ader of Hungary. The long Hungarian Day concluded by laying wreaths at the Liszt and Kossuth plaques in the city of Liverpool.
